Day 30: When one door closes, open a window… And JUMP!

Opportunity is a funny thing. It tends to knock when least expected, and sometimes, it knocks so lightly we can’t even hear it. This doesn’t mean the opportunity is gone, though! In life, like in sales, no means next. Ask again, or jump to the next opportunity. I had been getting pretty down lately with lack of movement from my efforts. I felt like I was spinning my wheels in mud but not moving anywhere. Luckily, hubby and I have both had some amazing things come up in the last couple days, so we are definitely ready for the big move, wherever that may be…
Today I want to focus on the small opportunities I tend to miss daily, as well as those on a grander, life altering scale. How many times a day do you think, “I should have done (fill in the blank), or said (fill in the blank)!”? Even forgetting to say thank you, or blessing after a sneeze, or missing the opportunity to hold a door for the person behind you? For me, it is so often that I find much of the day filled with pointless regret.
Being more awake and aware are two things that we talk about a lot in yoga, and being less in my head and more present will help me become more in tune with those around me, and miss less of those little opportunities daily. Day 30, no stone unturned, no opportunities lost.
