If you know me at all you know the short list of people I am obsessed with for a variety of reasons. One of my top inspirations is the late Steve Jobs. His story and his general influence has inspired me so much as a person, and one of the major takeaways I attach to Jobs is the concept of “staying hungry”.
We have all gotten complacent in some way or another, whether it is in our careers, relationships, or life in general. When we hit that rut it is extremely hard to get out of it or change. It takes major motivation that is sometimes just too much to overcome. This is why I am such a believer in constant forward motion; you know the old saying ‘a rolling stone gathers no moss’ and mama sure doesn’t want any moss cluttering up her life!
So what do we do when things seem to get difficult? It is so important to truly take the time to know yourself and what motivates you, what inspires you, and what you want now and later down the line. Make these things real and tangible for yourself and stay hungry to always be working towards them. When you are working for your passion it won’t even feel like work.
