Stop to Start

An object in motion tends to stay in motion… and a person in motion tends to stay in motion; whether that is moving onward and upward or continuing down an out of control spiral. One thing that I have learned is, sometimes in order to move forward in a positive direction you need to stop, pause, regroup, then move forward with clarity and positivity.
We recently made a huge life move. New home, new work location (same job), new life. But is it a really new life if all of the same worries, doubts and fears were packed with the kitchen utensils? At the beginning I had fear and excitement, followed by happiness and relief that the change was in fact a good one, followed by the anxiety that came with all the untied loose ends from before.
As I began to spin my wheels, get upset, and have anxiety I decided to stop. Just stop and step away from the situation. If your issues are not life or death and urgent, it is imperative to just stop and remove yourself for a moment. Gather your thoughts, regroup, reset and find new solutions before diving back into the hailstorm. Actually, by the time you dive back in at that point it is usually a light drizzle.
One thing I can say is, that I am so extremely happy with my decision and my move. I feel so much better, so much more motivated, and just happy with life right now. I am excited to see where the universe takes us and I am so glad that we chose to leap and just go for what we knew was the best situation.
