Day 24: Onward and Upward!

Let’s talk about sleep. Definitely one of my favorite things to do. Also definitely something that just doesn’t happen when I’m stressed. Right now, at nearly midnight on Thursday, my nearest rendezvous with sleep happened about 48 hours ago. I feel like crazy Spencer from PLL on speed except I’m not on speed and definitely not being terrorized by the evil “A”… Anyway…

Oh yes, back to the lecture at hand. Tensions are high when one is extremely tired and stressed so maybe I am blowing this out of proportion, but it really grinds my gears when people bring up negative things from the past in order to make a loose connection to an argument they are trying to make to prove a point. As you all know, I am a big advocate of forgive but don’t forget.
Our history defines who we are and helps us shape where we are going. Some memories are great and positive, some are painful. One thing we should all remember is to not use these painful memories as weapons to further our own agendas. Nothing good could ever result from this and we need to start using more positive, future based arguments to prove our points. Day 24, always looking forward, refusing to let the shadows of the past outshine the light ahead, no matter how difficult it may be, let’s not throw things in another’s face for the sake of proving our point.
